A ‘Peers’ Choice’ award was also presented, based on votes from Australian architects submitted on this website. The winner of the Peers’ Choice award was Pendal and Neille.
Andrew Mackenzie
Andrew Mackenzie is the Associate Publisher of Architectural Review Australia and (Inside) Australia Design Review. He has been an artist, curator, writer, documentary maker, editor and one-time arts tv fringe dweller. He participates widely in public discussion regarding design, architecture and art. Reflecting this, the magazines AR and (Inside) have become increasingly involved in the promotion and discussion of what it means to be an architect or designer in Australia.
Rachel Neeson & Nicholas Murcutt
Neeson Murcutt Architects was formed in 2004, combining the independent practices of its directors Nicholas Murcutt and Rachel Neeson. Based in Sydney, the practice operates in urban, rural and outback settings across Australia. The work of Neeson Murcutt Architects has been recognised locally and internationally through awards, publications, lectures and exhibitions, including the 2006 Venice Biennale, 2007 RAIA NSW Chapter Wilkinson Award for the Five Dock House and were the winners of the 2007 About Face Award.
Adrian Iredale
As a founding partner of Iredale Pedersen Hook Architects, Adrian has extensive experience in projects including single residential, multi residential, environmental, urban design and institutional. Adrian has worked in Berlin, Germany as a ‘project architect’ with Professor Manfred Schiedhelm creating new housing prototypes for up to 10,000 residents and completed post graduate studies as an invited guest student at the Stadelschule Frankfurt, Germany under Professor Peter Cook and the late Professor Enric Miralles. He is currently enrolled in the Masters by project by invitation at RMIT University under the supervision of Professor Leon van Schaik.
Linda Ginger
Linda joined The Clay Brick and Paver Institute in early 2006, from James Hardie’s Building Products Division where she was General Manager, Brand Communications for Australia and New Zealand. Linda is responsible for marketing and advocacy on behalf of the nation’s largest brick manufacturers through Think Brick Australia – the industry’s new brand, which she was instrumental in developing.
Neill Evans
Neill Evans is the current Chairman of Think Brick Australia and Executive General Manager of CSR Bricks & Roofing.

Gerard Reinmuth
Gerard Reinmuth is a Director of TERROIR, the practice he founded with Richard Blythe and Scott Balmforth in 1999. Gerard has taught at schools of architecture, regularly writes and commentates on architectural issues and was made Adjunct Professor of Architecture at UTS in 2005. Gerard was selected among the Bulletin Magazine’s 2004 “Smart 100” list of key Australians tipped to influence our cultural landscape.
Cathy Inglis
Cathy Inglis joined Austral Bricks over 10 years ago as the Technical and Mining Manager, and now currently holds the position of Group Technical, Research and Engineering Manager. Cathy is the Chair of Think Brick Australia’s National Technical Committee, and represents industry on several Standards Committee.
